Kerry Lane

The Kerry Lane project was a rebuild of a home that burned in the Tubbs fire. The owners were looking for a cozy family home with an open great room and kitchen for entertaining. We employed an inviting porch to connect to the rebuilt neighborhood and provide a strong entry. The master bedroom projects over the rear deck and provides cover for the large sliding patio doors. The original contractor failed to deliver after the foundations were poured so we introduced the owners to Ortiz Construction. Graciano took over the project and came through in a big way at a time when the owners were still traumatized from their harrowing escape from the fire and in need of a stable resolution.

Manderly Road

This project was an interior remodel with a redesigned entry. We redesigned the kitchen, living room, dining room, and entry. The owner was looking for a brighter, more open space with the fireplace as a focal element.

Briggs Ranch Road

Sue's house burned in the Tubbs fire. We designed a similar house for her and worked with her and her brother Jim to build it. She was looking for a large great room with large windows looking out onto the Northern California beautiful hills. The large windows and the wrap-around decks allow for a dynamic connection between the interior and exterior. The built-in swimming pool is steps from the bedrooms.

Seaway

The Seaway project was a master bedroom addition and interior remodel. A gracious master suite was added to the waterfront house and the kitchen, living room, bedrooms, and kitchen were remodeled. The existing patio was covered by a wood trellis and a firepit was added.

Sycamore

This project is a whole house remodel done while working with a previous firm.

Prince Royal

We added a second story with a master suite, two additional bedrooms, a bath, and a laundry closet. The first-floor plan was redesigned as a more open space and landscaping was added. 

Northern

This project was a complete interior remodel to address a plan that was broken into small spaces with some unnecessary hallways and dead spaces. Walls were removed to open the main living space and connect the living room, kitchen, and dining rooms. Large skylights were added and ceiling treatments were added to create interest. Comfortable outdoor spaces were created with the addition of decks at the living room and master bedroom.

Piedmont

This full house remodel has four bedrooms including a spacious master suite that opens onto the pool deck. An inviting entry porch welcomes you into a gracious living space that wraps around the built-in swimming pool. This project was done while working with a previous firm.

Oak Manor

The Oak Manor project was a kitchen remodel that provided an eat-in kitchen with lots of storage. The living room fireplace was refinished and a corner bookshelf was added.

Spring Drive

The Spring Drive project opened the redesigned kitchen to the living room and added a pair of skylights and plenty of cabinets.

Amber Lane

Randy's house burned in the Tubbs fire. The rebuilt house offers a large open plan with high ceilings and flowing spaces. A large comfortable master suite and three bedrooms offer plenty of space for the family. Situated at the top of a hill, the house has sprawling views of the surrounding hills and the pool and poolhouse below. 

Edgewater

This project was a remodel of the master suite, bedrooms, and laundry room. 

San Carlos

This house got a fairy tale treatment to the entry porch and plenty of great detail in the woodwork and trim. The end product is a warm and inviting home with comfortable spaces and beautiful views.

Morningson

Morningson was one of the first homes I worked on in Marin County. This large two-story home has four bedrooms and an office over the two-car garage. I worked on this home with a previous firm.

Boardwaly

This unique home was built on the Larkspur Boardwalk with a nautical look that plays on the arched roof of the existing adjacent home. Arched, laminated beams support the exposed tongue and groove ceiling boards and sweep down to form an elegant entry feature. This project was done while working with a previous firm.

Boardwalk

Hillcrest

Hillcrest was a complete remodel to an existing hilltop home. The finished two-story home is 3,500 square feet with a 420 square foot garage and a built-in swimming pool. This project was done while working with a previous employer.

Monte Vista

This project was a complete teardown and rebuild of a new home on a sloping lot with a swimming pool in the backyard. This project was done with a previous employer.

Lovel Valley Barn

This rustic barn has horse stalls on the lower floor and a one-bedroom living space above. This project was done with a previous firm.

I’ve always dreamed of having a clean, modernist home, and I’m happy to say that Alice and her team at Atelier Cohen led the way to making that dream a reality! I couldn’t be more happy with the project, my house looks like it could be featured in a Kinfolk magazine. I expressed my wishes of having a clean, natural interior aesthetic and they truly delivered – the natural light in my newly designed home is to die for. I had the pleasure of working with Alice on redecorating my childhood home that hadn’t been touched up since I was a teen in the 80’s.
